{"id":12718,"date":"2017-08-01T10:00:51","date_gmt":"2017-08-01T14:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/iqiyi-original-kids-show-in-development\/"},"modified":"2017-08-01T10:00:51","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T14:00:51","slug":"iqiyi-original-kids-show-in-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/iqiyi-original-kids-show-in-development\/","title":{"rendered":"iQIYI Original Kids\u2019 Show in Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>iQIYI, Zhejiang Blue Star Media and Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Asia have entered into a strategic collaboration to develop <em>Deer Run<\/em>, an original animated children\u2019s series.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by iQIYI with creative guidance and supervision from Nickelodeon Asia, the CG-animated series will premiere on iQIYI\u2019s digital platform and Zhejiang Satellite TV in China,\u00a0in addition to airing on Nickelodeon Asia in the summer of 2019. This marks the first time Nickelodeon Asia will take a Chinese original on its network from the conception phase.<\/p>\n<p><em>Deer Run <\/em>centers on four deer who work together to overcome various obstacles and develop a strong friendship. VIMN will explore <em>Deer Run<\/em>\u2019s licensing potential outside of China once production is complete.<\/p>\n<p>iQIYI\u2019s chief content officer, Wang Xiaohui, said, \u201cWe are delighted to collaborate with Viacom International Media Networks on iQIYI\u2019s original IP animation series, which will be supervised by experienced producers at Nickelodeon Asia. With our distribution capability and track record in IP development, we believe Nickelodeon\u2019s excellence in production and storytelling will extend our IP to kids in China, and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Deer Run <\/em>will be our first in-depth animation collaboration for Nickelodeon in China,\u201d stated Pierre Cheung, the senior VP and general manager for Greater China at Viacom International Media Networks. \u201cWe chose this project because of its great story and compelling, relatable characters that resonate with the Nickelodeon brand.
