The 30-minute CGI film stars Ruth Negga (<em>Preacher<\/em>) and Lucy O\u2019Connell (<em>Song of the Sea<\/em>). It is written by Will Collins (<em>Song of the Sea<\/em>) and Damien O\u2019Connor (<em>Doc McStuffins<\/em>), who is also directing.<\/p>\n<p>Production on <em>Angela&#8217;s Christmas<\/em> is currently underway, with the special slated for completion in\u00a0early November. 9 Story Distribution International will manage the film&#8217;s\u00a0sales around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so thrilled to see this beloved story come to life as an animated film,\u201d said Ellen McCourt, Frank McCourt\u2019s widow, who serves as an executive producer on the project. \u201cBrown Bag Films\u2019 unparalleled artistry in animation, combined with their Irish roots, make them the perfect partner to tell Frank\u2019s children\u2019s classic in a new way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Angela\u2019s Christmas<\/em> is such a special story,\u201d added Darragh O\u2019Connell, the creative director of Brown Bag Films. \u201cMcCourt has a way of capturing the mind of young Angela that will have you laughing and crying.
