Nickelodeon Latin America and Telefe have signed a co-production agreement with Adam Anders, Glee<\/em>‘s executive music producer, and 360 Powwow for a new musical series titled Kally’s MashUp<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Kally’s MashUp<\/em> was created by Adam Anders and Antony Falc\u00f3n, and is based on Anders’ real-life musical journey. The story will follow a 13-year-old musical prodigy as she balances her life as a piano virtuoso with being a normal teen when she moves from a small town to a prestigious music school. The 60×1-hour show will include original songs composed by Peer Astrom and Nikki Anders. Anders will also serve as executive producer on the show and oversee its musical score.<\/p>\n

Kally\u2019s MashUp<\/em>, which is being made by 360 Powwow and Anders Media, will begin filming in August in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The series will be produced at Telefe\u2019s studios. It is slated to\u00a0premiere pan-regionally on Nickelodeon Latin America and later on Telefe, which will also have the exclusive distribution rights for the series in the region.<\/p>\n

We are thrilled to have him, along with Daniel Gutman, [CEO] of 360 Powwow, as our partners on this production and are certain that its story line and characters will inspire a wave of Nickelodeon fans to showcase their talent and follow their dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was given the opportunity to study music at the University of South Florida in Tampa starting when I was 13\u00a0years old,\u201d noted Adam Anders. \u201cI ended up doing high school at the same age via correspondence. Walking the halls with all the big kids and adults was both exciting and really scary but I had a fantastic teacher, Professor Neuenschwander, who really instilled the confidence in me that I belonged, even though I was so young and from another country! Those experiences helped shape the story line and creation of Kally\u2019s MashUp<\/em> and I hope that many kids will be able to relate to those feelings, no matter what their interests are.\u201d<\/p>\n
