{"id":12309,"date":"2017-05-18T09:46:41","date_gmt":"2017-05-18T13:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/disney-unveils-digital-focused-web-series-hyperlinked\/"},"modified":"2017-05-18T09:48:55","modified_gmt":"2017-05-18T13:48:55","slug":"disney-unveils-digital-focused-web-series-hyperlinked","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/disney-unveils-digital-focused-web-series-hyperlinked\/","title":{"rendered":"Disney Unveils Digital-Focused Web Series Hyperlinked"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Disney has teamed up with the all-girl music group L2M for <em>Hyperlinked<\/em>, a brand-new series that will be available through its YouTube channel as part of the Disney Digital Network and on the YouTube Kids app for YouTube Red subscribers.<\/p>\n<p>The ten-episode series will follow a group of middle school girls who come together to create their own website that\u2019s by girls for girls and encounter everyday tween issues involving friendship and growing up.<em> Hyperlinked <\/em>will become available on Wednesday, May 31, on YouTube and the YouTube Kids app for YouTube Red subscribers. The series will be available via Disney\u2019s YouTube channel as part of the Disney Digital Network. All viewers will be able to watch one episode for free, while the remaining episodes will be available exclusively for YouTube Red subscribers.<\/p>\n<p>The series will also feature pop tunes and dance moves that L2M is known for. Produced by Kids at Play and Miss O and Friends, the show is inspired by the true story of the Miss O and Friends website. Together with Google\u2019s Computer Science in Media team and the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, the series convened an Advisory Council whose members include Madeline Di Nonno, the CEO of Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media; Kimberly Bryant, the founder and CEO of Black Girls CODE; Rosalind Wiseman, best-selling author of <em>Queen Bees &amp; Wannabees<\/em>; Jess Weiner, the CEO of Talk to Jess; and Michael Cohen, PhD, the president of Michael Cohen Group.
