Nickelodeon has licensed exclusive broadcast rights for season one of the CGI-animated series Rainbow Rangers<\/em> in the U.S. and Caribbean Basin from Genius Brands International.<\/p>\n

Rainbow Rangers<\/em> is a mission-based action adventure series that is expected to air on Nickelodeon\u2019s preschool channel, Nick Jr.\u00a0The 52×11-minute production is currently in development. Genius Brands recently appointed Mattel’s Fisher-Price as global master toy partner for the brand.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Rangers, made up of seven girls, each one a different color of the rainbow and boasting her own unique personality and powers, band together to save the day whenever there’s trouble for the people, animals or natural wonders of the Earth. Each story line is intended to teach viewers the importance of working together.<\/p>\n

Genius Brands\u2019 chairman and CEO, Andy Heyward, serves as executive producer on the series. The show was created by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King<\/em>), Shane Morris (Frozen<\/em>), Tim Mansfield and New York Times<\/em> best-selling author and Emmy-nominated writer Elise Allen (Dinosaur Train<\/em>, The Lion Guard<\/em>, Barbie<\/em> specials), who is serving as head writer.<\/p>\n
