The movie will also become available via live feeds on each network\u2019s digital platform. It will also launch on-demand on the Disney Channel, ABC, Freeform and Lifetime apps on July 21 at 10 p.m., as well as on Disney Channel, ABC, Freeform and Lifetime VOD beginning July 22. The movie is a sequel to the popular <em>Descendants<\/em>\u00a0film that debuted in 2015.<\/p>\n<p><em>Descendants 2<\/em> continues the story of the Villain Kids\u2014Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay\u2014as they try to find their place in Auradon. When the pressure to be royal becomes too much for Mal, she returns to her roots on the Isle of the Lost, where her archenemy Uma, the daughter of Ursula, has taken her spot as self-proclaimed queen of the run-down town.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Sherwood, co-chairman of Disney Media Networks and president\u00a0of Disney|ABC Television Group, said, &#8220;<em>Descendants<\/em> fans asked for more, and we&#8217;ve answered their call, with more ways to watch and more ways to engage with the next chapter in their favorite TV movie.
