MADRID: RTVE has\u00a0revealed its new HD children’s channel, Clan for America, which is meant to bring the best programming and values from Spain’s Clan to the Americas.<\/p>\n

Clan for America features a philosophy that promotes friendship, respect for the environment and creativity. The network will feature recent in-house productions or co-productions with leading indie producers from Europe, as well as acquisitions of Spanish productions. It is aimed at young viewers up to the age of 12, with a special focus on\u00a0the 2-to-4 and 4-to-7 demos.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from RTVE, Clan for America’s goal is “to be where the kids are, but with supervision; to say what children say, but judiciously; and to dream what children dream, but with intelligence.\u201d The channel is scheduled to hit the airwaves\u00a0in the second quarter of 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
