{"id":11892,"date":"2017-03-07T10:16:36","date_gmt":"2017-03-07T15:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/u-k-deals-for-bob-the-builder-fireman-sam\/"},"modified":"2017-03-07T11:29:57","modified_gmt":"2017-03-07T16:29:57","slug":"u-k-deal-bob-builder-fireman-sam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/u-k-deal-bob-builder-fireman-sam\/","title":{"rendered":"Home-Entertainment Partner for Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LONDON: Abbey Home Media has secured the home-entertainment licenses in the U.K. for <em>Bob the Builder<\/em> and <em>Fireman Sam<\/em> through a deal with DHX Media.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, Abbey will release four DVD titles this year, including the two hour-long specials\u00a0<em>Bob the Builder: Mega Machines\u2014The Movie<\/em> and <em>Fireman Sam: Alien Alert\u2014The Movie<\/em>. In addition, two episodic releases, <em>Bob the Builder: Dig This<\/em> and <em>Fireman Sam: Sam\u2019s Birthday<\/em>, will be the first titles to launch under the new DVD partnership. They will hit retail in April.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Fireman Sam<\/em> movie will be released in the 30th anniversary year of the property. The hour-long <em>Bob the Builder<\/em> special will introduce three new \u201cmega\u201d characters to Bob\u2019s gang.<\/p>\n<p>Emma Evans, the acquisitions director of Abbey Home Media, said, \u201cWe are delighted that DHX Media have appointed Abbey Home Media as their U.K. home-entertainment partner for selected episodes from the <em>Bob the Builder<\/em> and <em>Fireman Sam<\/em> series, as well as the feature-length movies.
