SOMERVILLE: Ride<\/em>, a new live-action show from Breakthrough Entertainment, has secured a publishing agreement\u00a0with Candlewick Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Candlewick snapped up the global rights in all languages to\u00a0a series of books for young readers based on the Ride<\/em> TV show. The books were acquired by Joan Powers, group editorial director of\u00a0Candlewick and Walker Entertainment, from Breakthrough. They will be released in September with Ride: Kit Meets Covington<\/em>. Two\u00a0additional titles will follow in spring 2018.<\/p>\n

Ride<\/em> centers on an American teenager\u00a0who moves to England with her father after he lands a job as the\u00a0equestrian supervisor at The Covington Academy. The show premiered in Canada on YTV in September 2016 and in the U.K. on Nickelodeon in November 2016. It debuted\u00a0on Nickelodeon in the U.S. earlier this week.<\/p>\n
