LONDON: FremantleMedia Kids & Family has signed its first format agreement for Marrying Mum and Dad<\/em>, which will be produced by FM Sweden for SVT’s Barnkanalen.<\/p>\n

Marrying Mum and Dad<\/em> is a factual-entertainment format for viewers between the ages of 6 and 11 that sees\u00a0parents give their children total control of their wedding day. The show is now airing in its sixth season on CBBC in the U.K. The 10×29-minute Swedish version marks the first kids’ format ever commissioned by Barnkanalen, where it will debut in late 2017.<\/p>\n

Rick Glankler, the president of FremantleMedia Kids & Family, said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to have secured our very first format deal with SVT. Magnus Karlsson Lamm, the managing director of FremantleMedia Sweden, noted: “We are very happy to produce our first show for SVT\u2019s kids\u2019 channel, and even more excited that it is such a great format as Marrying Mum and Dad<\/em>. I really love this program and believe it has great potential to become a returning series in Sweden as it is in the U.K.”<\/p>\n
