LONDON: Dot To Dot Productions is producing School of Roars<\/em>, a new 2D animated preschool series that\u00a0is slated for broadcast on\u00a0CBeebies in the U.K. and Sprout in the U.S.<\/p>\n

School of Roars<\/em> follows five young monsters as they learn various lessons in school. The voice cast includes Kathy Burke (Gimme Gimme Gimme<\/em>), Sarah Lancashire (Happy Valley<\/em>) and Andrew Scott (Sherlock<\/em>). The 52×7-minute show, which is due to debut early this year, will be globally distributed by ZDF Enterprises. It was created by Alan Robinson and is being executive produced by Jo Killingley for Dot To Dot and Sarah Legg for CBeebies.<\/p>\n

Killingley, the founder of Dot To Dot, remarked: \u201cSchool of Roar<\/em>s is a unique and exciting property that will appeal to both children and their parents, as it not only educates but prepares children for school in a fun and engaging way. What makes it even more exciting is that it is created, developed, produced and animated in-house by Dot To Dot following the launch of our own animation studio. The new studio will be producing and developing material for children of all ages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kay Benbow, the controller for CBeebies, noted: \u201cWe\u2019re sure our youngest viewers will be enchanted by the friendly school-based adventures, the bright design and the quirky humor, whilst parents may be surprised by the hugely talented stellar supporting cast. We hope it\u2019ll become another monster-mazing, super-snufflesome CBeebies favorite!\u201d<\/p>\n

Arne Lohmann, the VP of ZDFE.junior, added: \u201cAfter our successful partnership with Fun With Claude<\/em> we are delighted to work together again with Dot To Dot Productions.
