GLENDALE: Seasoned producer Mireille Soria, who has been serving as co-president of\u00a0DreamWorks Animation (DWA) alongside Bonnie Arnold, is stepping down from her role at the company.<\/p>\n
Soria’s resignation comes on the heels of NBCUniversal acquiring DWA, which has been folded into the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, in a $3.8 billion transaction that was finalized over the summer.\u00a0As co-president, she worked\u00a0under Donna Langley, chairman of Universal Pictures. She is credited with being the lead producer on DWA’s\u00a0hit Madagascar<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n Soria and Arnold were appointed as DWA’s co-presidents of feature animation in January 2015 following the departure of Bill Damaschke as chief creative officer.
