VANCOUVER: Thunderbird has appointed Matthew Berkowitz as head of development at subsidiary studio\u00a0Atomic Cartoons.<\/p>\n

In his new role, Berkowitz\u00a0will\u00a0develop and expand\u00a0Atomic’s\u00a0IP and co-production portfolio. He previously worked for Arc Productions, where he managed the studio’s IP slate and established animation production partnerships with Sony Animation, DreamWorks Animation, Amazon Studios, Lego, Zodiak and Sprout. Earlier in his career, he worked for Film Roman and Strike Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Jennifer Twiner-McCarron, Atomic’s president, commented: \u201cAs we redefine our approach to development at Atomic, it\u2019s important for us to have an executive who is a passionate, dynamic and respected industry leader, and for us that\u2019s Matt.
