TORONTO: Portfolio Entertainment has closed several international deals for the animated kids’ comedy series Freaktown<\/em>, including with Disney for its channels in India.<\/p>\n

In addition to Disney in India, Sony Pictures Television picked up the 26×30-minute series for its U.K. channel Kix. In Denmark, Freaktown<\/em> is set for DR Ultra Channel. The series is intended for kids aged 6 to 11 and follows the adventures of a skeleton named Ben Bones who, along with his freaky friends, is on a mission to protect the town from Princess Boo Boo the Bouncy of Sweetlandia.<\/p>\n

Freaktown<\/em> was commissioned by TELETOON in Canada and is produced by Portfolio. The sales into the U.K., Denmark and India, which came at MIPCOM, join a raft of prior sales to kids\u2019 networks across the globe.<\/p>\n
