LONDON: Rocket Licensing has signed new U.K. partners for Dr. Seuss\u2019s classic holiday tale How the Grinch Stole Christmas<\/em>, including Dreamtex, which will roll out a bedding line.<\/p>\n

Rocket Licensing manages the U.K. consumer products program for the works of the famous author on behalf of Dr. Seuss Enterprises and has also brought IG Design Group on board to launch a line of Christmas gift-wrap. In addition, Rocket tapped BCI to create a range of Grinch\u00a0<\/em>nightwear for kids.<\/p>\n

Brand International Group, meanwhile, will roll out its first line of adult and kids\u2019 footwear, including slippers, while Misirli is putting out a line of socks at Tesco this Christmas. The new collections\u00a0will be available at retailers such as Topshop, Primark, New Look and Matalan, as well as at grocers like Tesco and Asda. The new products join several Christmas 2016 fashion ranges from existing licensees, including Somerbond and Park Agencies.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Grinch is a classic timeless brand and the resident grouch of Whoville has now become an icon for the Christmas season,\u201d commented Rob Wijeratna, joint managing director at Rocket Licensing. \u201cThe appeal of the brand is broad and not only a big hit among parents and gift buyers, but now also with teens and young adults who are drawn to the Grinch\u2019s anti-holiday spirit and edgy humor. We\u2019re confident that these latest partnerships will sustain the Grinch\u2019s position as a perennial Christmas brand.\u201d<\/p>\n
