LONDON: Mondo TV’s new live-action teen series Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa<\/em>,\u00a0adapted from\u00a0the classic book by Johanna Spyri, is slated to begin airing on Nickelodeon Latinoam\u00e9rica early next year.<\/p>\n

Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa<\/em>, which stars Chiara Francia (Patito Feo<\/em>, Chica Vampiro<\/em>), tells the story of a young girl who leaves her mountain home for the city. The 60×45-minute show, produced entirely in Argentina, was created by Argentinian author Marcela Citterio. It is a co-production between Mondo TV Iberoamerica and Javier Francia of Alianzas Producciones.<\/p>\n

Matteo Corradi, Mondo TV’s CEO, commented: \u201cHeidi<\/em> is one of the most successful books ever written, with timeless values and one of the most endearing protagonists in literature. The special and very talented team behind this new production has brought the story up to date while retaining its universal appeal.
