{"id":11055,"date":"2016-10-14T09:10:21","date_gmt":"2016-10-14T13:10:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2016-10-14T12:15:51","modified_gmt":"2016-10-14T16:15:51","slug":"production-begins-on-new-series-16-hudson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvkids\/production-begins-on-new-series-16-hudson\/","title":{"rendered":"Production Begins on New Series 16 Hudson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK: In partnership with TVO Kids, Big Bad Boo Studios has greenlit production on the new animated series <em>16 Hudson<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The first season will consist of 39 7-minute episodes for TV, as well as a digital media component. <em>16 Hudson<\/em> follows the adventures of four neighbors in a big city. Lili, Sam, Amala and Luc all come from different cultural backgrounds and live at 16 Hudson along with the elderly Mrs. Oldstein and a super named Ivan. The kids have fun together and embrace their similarities and differences.<\/p>\n<p>The series is intended for kids preschool age and older and aims to promote \u201ckindergarten readiness,\u201d particularly as it relates to oral language, math, vocabulary and problem-solving skills. Additional partners on the series include Knowledge Network, CBC Radio Canada, ICI TV, the Cogeco Fund and the Shaw Rocket Fund.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is our goal to create shows that are well-balanced and reflect the true nature of the world kids live in today,\u201d said Shabnam Rezaei, who co-created the show. \u201cMy daughter has friends with all kinds of backgrounds and those values are not being represented on the screen. We are here to change that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rezaei added: \u201cWe are very excited to start production. I think that the fun adventures tied with the diverse traits and backgrounds of each character will stand strong on its own.
