PARIS: APC Kids has picked up the global television rights outside of Russia and China for Kid-e-Cats<\/em>, an animated series produced by Studio Metranom\/Metrafilms for CTC in Russia.<\/p>\n

Kid-e-Cats<\/em> follows the adventures of three energetic and imaginative kittens as they learn about life. Nigel Pickard is\u00a0serving as executive producer for APC\u00a0Kids, which will\u00a0present the 52×5-minute show at this year’s MIPCOM.<\/p>\n

APC Kids is the children\u2019s entertainment\u00a0division\u00a0of boutique financier and distributor About Premium Content (APC). \u201cBesides managing the international distribution of a selection of shows, APC Kids is also helping producers in their search for financing on their new projects by gathering soft money, international co-productions and presales,\u201d said\u00a0Lionel Marty, who has joined APC Kids as partner and managing director.<\/p>\n

\u201cKid-e-Cats<\/em> is an exciting new project for APC Kids,” noted Marty. “The local version has won over audiences in Russia and we are looking forward to working with Nigel to create a version for children around the globe. I am excited to be joining APC Kids at this time of expansion. Our collaboration over the last two years has resulted in a growing portfolio of kids\u2019 properties and I look forward to working with [APC principals] Laurent [Boissel] and Emmanuelle [Guilbart] to further develop the business.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another highlight on offer from APC Kids is Memories of Nanette<\/em>, about a young girl spending a year on her grandparents\u2019 farm. \u201cMemories of Nanette<\/em> has the ingredients to become the next evergreen classic series,\u201d said Marty. There is also Zoli & Pokey<\/em>, an animated show that \u201ccombines a unique and distinctive character design and the humor of a sitcom,\u201d and The Wish<\/em>, a Christmas-themed live-action series that mixes \u201cheartwarming stories, adventure, a fantastic, talented cast and a contemporary tone.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
