LOS ANGELES: Nickelodeon has begun production on the brand-new original TV movie Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library<\/em>, based on the children\u2019s book series of the same name by Chris Grabenstein.<\/p>\n

The 90-minute, live-action TV movie tells the story of a group of friends who stay overnight in their town\u2019s new hi-tech library. When everything begins to spiral out of control and literary characters run amok, the kids must make a daring escape. Production is currently underway in Vancouver. Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library<\/em> is due to premiere in 2017.<\/p>\n

The movie stars Breanna Yde (Nickelodeon’s School of Rock<\/em>), Casey Simpson (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn<\/em>), Russell Roberts (The Twilight Saga: New Moon<\/em>) and newcomers A.J. Luis Rivera, Jr. and Klarke Pipkin.<\/p>\n

“We cannot wait to bring author Chris Grabenstein’s imaginative world to life with kids’ favorite Nick stars at the center of all the fun,” said Michael Sammaciccia, the senior VP of development and production for Nickelodeon original movies. “This is an epic, action-adventure story that taps into every child’s passion for books, games and technology. It’s a movie for kids, families and teachers alike.”<\/p>\n

Grabenstein remarked: “I’m excited to see what Nickelodeon does with Mr. Lemoncello<\/em>! So many kids, teachers and librarians have been asking me, ‘Where’s the Lemoncello<\/em> movie?’ Now I can tell them it will be on Nick!”<\/p>\n

Jim Head, Scott McAboy (Splitting Adam<\/em>) and Michael Sammaciccia will serve as executive producers. Amy Sydorick will serve as producer. The movie was written by Brian Jarvis, Jim Freeman and Alex Reid, and will be directed by McAboy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
