EDMONTON: Squeaks & Cheeks<\/em>, a new stop-motion children\u2019s show from Rebecca Campbell Productions, is going live on YouTube this month.<\/p>\n

All six episodes of the miniseries made in partnership with TELUS Optik Local are now available for free on-demand on TELUS Optik TV, with a focus on YouTube. The series follows two little pigs and their working dad, who is employed at Pancake Parlour. The young pigs learn life lessons as they have adventures.<\/p>\n

The sixth episode is a behind-the-scenes look at the show. It teaches kids how to use their imaginations to do things like make pancakes out of styrofoam.<\/p>\n

Filmmaker Rebecca Campbell commented: “It seems like 99 percent of kids’ shows these days are CGI animation. I wanted to make something that I would have watched growing up, something different than what kids see on TV today.<\/p>\n

“To me, it was important to ensure that the show teaches lessons and morals in a very silly environment that captures a child’s imagination.”<\/p>\n

On bringing the show to YouTube, Campbell said: “If you were to ask my little niece what ‘TV’ is, she’d run to get her tablet.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
