LONDON: Sky is bolstering its offerings for children with the addition of new exclusive programming as well as new features for the dedicated Sky Kids app.<\/p>\n
The new content includes specially created kids’ versions of Sky 1’s popular science panel show Duck Quacks Don’t Echo<\/em> and wildlife docuseries Big Cats, An Amazing Animal Family<\/em>. Duck Quacks Don\u2019t Echo: Kids<\/em>, produced by Magnum Media, is presented by Lee Mack. Offspring Films’s\u00a0Big Cats, An Amazing Animal Family\u00a0<\/em>is hosted by Patrick Aryee.\u00a0Sky is also planning exclusive children’s programming from Sky Sports and short-form content from leading MCNs, including nursery rhymes and music.<\/p>\n The Sky Kids app is being enhanced with the recently added sleep mode setting, which allows parents to control what their children watch and for how long. As of July 24, youngsters will be able to download their favorite series to watch over and over again with the new offline viewing function. The app, which launched in March, is now also available to Sky customers in Germany and Austria and will begin rolling out in Italy early next year.<\/p>\n Lucy Murphy, the head of kids’ content at Sky, commented: \u201cSky has always focused on providing great entertainment for the whole family, which is why we are continuing to invest in what we offer the youngest members of the household.
