William Vanderpuye, Maria Timotheou and Akindele Akinsiku created the show, which is being developed for television by Rastamouse producers Eugenio Perez and Gregory Boardman. The cast includes Aamir Tai as Mali, Miranda Sarfo Peprah as Mali\u2019s friend Sam, and Vanderpuye as Kobi, Sam\u2019s father. The series will begin production early next month for broadcast in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Kay Benbow, controller for CBeebies, commented: \u201c<em>Apple Tree House<\/em> embodies all that CBeebies stands for\u2014a sense of fun, curiosity and adventure, as well as sharing valuable life lessons in responsibility, kindness and being a good friend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boardman added: \u201cWhether it is in Mali\u2019s family flat, in Kobi\u2019s caretaker shed or out and about in the Apple Tree neighborhood, each new day brings an opportunity to have fun and discover something new as the children engage with friends and fellow residents.
