PARIS: Pierre Bela\u00efsch, Gaumont’s Paris-based president of animation, is exiting\u00a0the company.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Gaumont announced its plans to expand\u00a0the company’s\u00a0animation division into the U.S.\u00a0and\u00a0bolster its animated feature-films and TV series activities. At this time, it was revealed that Bela\u00efsch would be reporting directly to former Splash Entertainment exec Nicolas Atlan, who was appointed as Gaumont\u2019s Los Angeles-based president of animation, and that he would be focusing on European television shows.<\/p>\n

Bela\u00efsch previously served as managing director of Gaumont Animation, which was rebranded from Alphanim back in 2013. Gaumont’s animated catalog includes such series as\u00a0Calimero<\/em>,\u00a0Furry Wheels<\/em>, Belle and Sebastian<\/em> and Welcome to Bric-a-Broc<\/em>, to name a few.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
