PARIS: Animation company Studio Hari has officially launched an international distribution division, Hari International, with sales being led by former Gaumont exec Adeline Tormo.<\/p>\n
Paris-based Hari International will represent and deliver new series produced by Studio Hari to global audiences. Tormo, who previously served as VP of international sales at Gaumont Animation, has been named head of sales. The first title she will be offering is Grizzy and the lemmings<\/em>, which has been snapped up by Turner worldwide and France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions. A number of other projects in development are slated to launch next month.<\/p>\n Josselin Charier, Studio Hari’s co-founder with Antoine Rodelet, remarked: \u201cHari International’s objective is to build global and integrated brand,\u00a0sales and marketing strategies by ensuring the optimum exploitation of all\u00a0the TV, video and merchandising rights. It is a major step in our business\u00a0development: the creation of Hari International will give us the\u00a0opportunity to integrate all the activities related to our creations, from the artistic development to the commercial exploitation.\u201d<\/p>\n Tormo noted: \u201cStudio Hari has managed to rise to the very top in terms of creativity and production amongst animation companies in Europe and I am particularly flattered to have been able to join their team to develop the distribution subsidiary.
