World Screen Reveals 2017 Kids Trendsetters

World Screen and TV Kids are partnering with Reed MIDEM to present the third-annual Kids Trendsetter Awards at MIPJunior, recognizing SUPER RTL’s Janine Weigold, Turner’s Patricia Hidalgo, ABC TV’s Michael Carrington and Gloob’s Paula Taborda dos Guaranys.

The Kids Trendsetter Awards honor executives for bold, innovative choices in children’s programming. This year’s honorees are Janine Weigold, the head of children’s content at SUPER RTL; Patricia Hidalgo, the chief content and creative officer for EMEA and international kids strategy at Turner; Michael Carrington, the head of children’s and education at ABC TV; and Paula Taborda dos Guaranys, the head of content and programming at Gloob, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary.

These executives will each receive a Kids Trendsetter Award at the end of the View from the Top session at MIPJunior on Saturday, October 14. This session will see the honorees discussing their development, acquisition and co-production strategies in conversation with Anna Carugati, World Screen’s group editorial director.
