WildBrain Inks New Deals for Berry in the Big City

WildBrain has scored new distribution and licensing deals for its latest Strawberry Shortcake series, Berry in the Big City.

New distribution partners include Peacock and The Roku Channel (U.S.), Globoplay (Brazil), Tiny Pop (U.K.), HOP! (Israel), Prende TV (U.S. Hispanic), Amazon Prime Video (LatAm, France, Germany, Austria, U.K., Ireland, Australia), Crave (Canada) and more.

Peacock signed on for seasons one and two of Berry in the Big City, as did Globoplay and Tiny Pop, which also acquired the upcoming specials. The Roku Channel launched a Strawberry Shortcake channel featuring new and classic content. Prende TV also launched a dedicated channel in Spanish. HOP! picked up season one and the upcoming specials.

WildBrain’s Family Channel is currently airing the series and will be the exclusive home for the new specials in Canada.

Additional new partners for season one include FilmRise (U.S.), Future Today (U.S., U.K., Canada), Kartoon Channel! (U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore), Kids Street (U.S.), Magenta-TV (Germany), Tubi (U.S.), TVNZ (New Zealand) and XUMO (U.S.).

WildBrain CPLG scored new consumer products partnerships for the brand, including with Bentex (U.S.), Jay Franco (U.S. and Canada), Centric Brands (U.S.) and Cotton On (worldwide). For vintage Strawberry Shortcake, Boss Fight signed on to make scented action figures for the U.S., while Spirit Halloween is on board to make costumes for the U.S. and Canada.
