WildBrain & HarperCollins Extend Deal for Carmen Sandiego

HarperCollins Productions has extended its longstanding partnership with WildBrain, which now holds exclusive linear broadcast distribution rights for Carmen Sandiego.

Under the deal, WildBrain will distribute seasons one through four of the hit Netflix series, which first launched in 2019. Deals for all four seasons have already been made with Disney for its linear channels in Japan and France.

Carmen Sandiego follows the adventures of the titular master thief who uses her skills for good. Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) voices Carmen, and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) voices Player, Carmen’s chief accomplice and friend.

Under WildBrain’s existing partnership with HarperCollins Productions, it also distributes all four seasons of the classic 1990s Carmen Sandiego animated series, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? WildBrain CPLG represents the brand globally, including the consumer products rights for the Netflix Carmen Sandiego series and an upcoming live-action Netflix movie.

The Netflix animated series is produced by HarperCollins Productions and WildBrain’s animation studio in Vancouver.
