On the heels of a successful inaugural edition last month, TV Kids Festival returns this June to explore the major challenges and opportunities at play in the children’s programming industry today.

From June 7 to 9, TV Kids Festival will host a range of virtual panels and keynotes on trends in the children’s content business, from the importance of telling diverse stories to the art and science of building L&M hits and the challenges presented by Brexit. On June 10, TV Kids Festival will host a Screenings Day, allowing distributors to premiere full episodes, highlight reels or sneak peeks at new shows. TV Kids Festival will also present the second TV Kids Pioneer Award to an individual or company that is leading innovation in the children’s programming business; the first went to KiKA’s Sebastian Debertin. The festival will be streamed live and available on-demand on TVKidsFestival.com. FREE registration will open in May.

“More than 1,700 registered participants joined us for the first TV Kids Festival last month,” says Ricardo Guise, the president and publisher of World Screen. “We could not have been more pleased about how it was received. The event fits in with our always expanding portfolio serving the kids’ community, which includes the recent purchase of the TVKids.com domain name as we look to expand the reach of our dedicated website for the kids’ TV community.”

“We had so much fun pulling the TV Kids Festival together last month, we’re thrilled to be doing it again,” adds Mansha Daswani, the editor of World Screen and TV Kids. “From spotlighting diversity and inclusion to exploring unique financing models, there’s much we have planned for the agenda. Stay tuned for news on keynotes and panels in the coming months on our dedicated website for the kids’ TV community, TVKids.com, and in our market-leading TV Kids Daily newsletter.”

Several sponsorship packages, including pre-roll video spots and advertisements in the June 2021 digital edition of TV Kids and in the conference program, will be available. The June 2021 edition, available before Annecy, will be extensively promoted across our newsletters and social media handles at the beginning of June. Contact Ricardo Guise for more information.
