The Italian animated series The GoGoPig, produced by Maga Animation Studio, has made its return in a refreshed version for an international launch coinciding with the Paris Olympics.

Targeting kids 6 to 10, the series is centered on sports, presenting each discipline with an edutainment spin. It is divided into three seasons, totaling 52 episodes: 13 on winter Olympic sports (Winter Session), 13 on soccer (Soccer Session) and 26 on summer Olympic sports (Classic Sports).

The GoGoPig chronicles the adventures of a whimsical piglet guided by a cunning and eccentric green cat coach, Mr. Cat. In each episode, Mr. Cat persuades GoGoPig to tackle the most extraordinary sports and strive for the gold medal, employing clever and extravagant tactics while indulging the piglet’s love for acorns and daydreams.

The GoGoPig was created by Massimo Carrier Ragazzi and written by Giulio Braga.

Ragazzi, Maga’s founder, said: “In 2024, we embarked on a significant renovation of all episodes, upgrading them to high definition and meticulously refining certain details by hand. This project has been a true journey for us, offering an opportunity to rediscover and enhance our work with fresh eyes. Thanks to the international distribution partnership between Maga and Lucia Vismara’s Vismanimation, the series in its new form can be seen in Italy (on TIMvision) and is already being distributed abroad (the first broadcaster to air it will be Hungary’s MTVA), just in time for the Paris Olympics. The Games symbolize a moment of global unity and celebration, and we wanted our series to embody this spirit. We hope the audience will enjoy this new version as much as we loved creating it. The series will remain available for all international partners (broadcasters or platforms) interested in showcasing sports to their audience.”
