TAC Marks 20 Years with Spotlights on Ireland & Spain

The Ottawa International Animation Festival’s (OIAF) industry counterpart The Animation Conference (TAC) is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary with spotlights on co-production partners in Ireland and Spain.

This year’s conference will run from September 25 to 27 at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. TAC has set programming around upcoming Irish and Spanish co-production opportunities and will preview new and in-the-making projects from Spain.

Presented by Enterprise Ireland and moderated by Mary Bredin of Green Tiger Club, The Emerald Lens: Exploring Ireland’s Animation and Storytelling Legacy panel will feature key players from Giant Animation, Kavaleer Productions, Little Moon Animation, Studio Meala and Treehouse Republic.

Animation from Spain: Upcoming Original Films, presented by ICEX Spain Trade and Investment and moderated by Carolina López Caballero, curator at ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, will include insights from execs at Morgana Studios, Hampa Studio SL and Abano Producións.

Additional TAC programming will be unveiled in the weeks leading up to the conference.

“Since its founding, TAC has brought together hundreds of production executives and creatives from across Canada and around the world, generating millions in production dollars,” said Kelly Neall, TAC founder and OIAF’s managing director. “We welcome these delegations and look forward to many potential collaborations from this year’s event.”
