Star Trek: Prodigy Returns

The new Star Trek kids’ series Star Trek: Prodigy is set to return to Paramount+ on January 6 after a midseason hiatus.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio and CBS Studios’ Eye Animation Production, the show is the first Star Trek series aimed at younger audiences. The episode set for January 6 will revisit Star Fleet’s Kobayashi Maru test, an unwinnable training exercise in the Star Trek universe that tests cadets’ characters.

Star Trek: Prodigy first premiered in October and rolled out weekly episodes through mid-November. Beginning January 6, another five episodes will be available to stream weekly on Paramount+, with a further ten episodes coming later this year. A second season of the show will follow in 2023.

The series is available to stream on Paramount+ in international territories, including Latin America, the Nordics and Australia. In Canada, it airs on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streams on Crave.
