Video Interview: SpongeBob SquarePants’ Tom Kenny & Bill Fagerbakke

Over the last 25 years, SpongeBob SquarePants has made an indelible mark on pop culture. The show launched on Nickelodeon in July 1999, and its success has brought with it a universe of beloved characters, catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, TV specials, consumer products and a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. With sales handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution, the show has amassed a fan base that spans all corners of the globe.

Packed with irreverent comedy and a lot of heart, SpongeBob SquarePants was created by the late Stephen Hillenburg, a marine science educator and animator, and was brought to life through a voice cast that has remained with the show to this day. Tom Kenny, who voices SpongeBob SquarePants, and Bill Fagerbakke, the voice of Patrick Star, talk to TV Kids Weekly’s Anna Carugati about the secret sauce that has made the show a resounding, long-running success.
