Sonia Manzano & Ellen Doherty to Highlight Alma’s Way at TV Kids Festival

Sonia Manzano, a 15-time Emmy Award winner, will be joined by Fred Rogers Productions’ Ellen Doherty to discuss the new PBS KIDS preschool series Alma’s Way during the TV Kids Festival, which you can register for here for free.

Manzano, best known for her long run as “Maria” on Sesame Street, is the creator and executive producer of Alma’s Way. Doherty, chief creative officer for Fred Rogers Productions, also serves as executive producer of Alma’s Way. Together, they’ll discuss what went into crafting this animated series about a Puerto Rican girl from the Bronx and her family.

The TV Kids Festival will be streamed live and available on-demand on TVKidsFestival.com. Unlike other events requiring hefty registration fees, attendance to the TV Kids Festival is free. The inaugural TV Kids Festival attracted more than 1,700 participants and 24,000 views.
