SMF Animation Studio Sets Feature Films

Soyuzmultfilm (SMF) Animation Studio has three new feature films currently in production, including The Golden Beehive.

Inspired by the studio’s comedy series The Secret of Honey Hills, The Golden Beehive is set in the same universe. It sees Sophie the Owl and Squirrel Chip work to solve the mystery of the missing golden beehive.

The Formula for Water, set for release in 2023, follows the journey of a girl trying to save her kidnapped scientist father, inventor of a machine that would restore drinking water reserves on the planet. The visual style of the film was developed by a team of professionals who have worked on Maleficient, The Lion King, Gravity, Prometheus, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and more.

In The Alpine Campaign, young Grisha comes into the service of Suvorov’s regiment and is a witness to key historical events and a participant in dangerous intrigues.
