Sesame Workshop & Guru Studio Ready Sesame Street Spin-Off

Sesame Workshop has teamed up with Canada-based Guru Studio for the tentatively titled Sesame Street spin-off series Mecha Builders.

“With Guru Studio’s masterful animated storytelling, we’re going beyond the Sesame Street neighborhood with a new take on our iconic brand,” said Kay Wilson Stallings, head of development and production at Sesame Workshop.

Frank Falcone, president and executive creative director at Guru Studio, added: “We’re thrilled to be working on such timeless and beloved classic characters with the amazing team at Sesame Workshop.”

Production for Mecha Builders (w/t) begins this month. The series is slated to air in the U.S. on HBO Max.
