Sesame Street Lands New Product Deals

Sesame Workshop has signed a slew of new licensing deals for Sesame Street, ranging from apparel and accessories to toys and books.

An agreement with Just Play will see the release of a 13-inch Elmo animated plush that is able to tell jokes and dance along to the “Chicken Dance” song.

Skip Hop will introduce a Sesame Street collection with items for toddlers, including backpacks, mealtime sets, straw bottles, snack cups and more, all of which will feature Elmo, Cookie Monster and Abby Cadabby.

Sesame Workshop signed several deals in the books and publishing realm. Workman Kids’ Indestructibles: Sesame Street: Beach Day is a chew-proof, rip-proof, washable and lightweight baby book that can be safely taken along to the beach. Random House Books for Young Readers’ new board book Elmo’s Favorite Jokes and Riddles features over 25 jokes and riddles to keep kids entertained during vacation travel. Later this month, DK will release Sesame Street Let’s Cook Together, a hardcover cookbook with 40 healthy recipes.

In line with the cookbook, the apron and cooking gear brand Hedley & Bennett is introducing matching Elmo aprons for adults and kids, alongside Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch aprons. The appliance company Uncanny Brands, meanwhile, will offer a Sesame Street USB-rechargeable portable blender. Also related to food, Earth’s Best has introduced fruit and veggie smoothie pouches, Sunny Days Snack Bars and Peanut Butter Baked Corn Puffs with Sesame Street packaging.

Lastly, Mindful & Co Kids has released a double-sided Sesame Street yoga poses print that depicts several beloved characters in different yoga poses to encourage young ones to as a morning or nighttime routine.
