Semillitas Picks Up Angelina Ballerina

MIAMI: SOMOSTV’s kids’ channel Semillitas has added the animated series Angelina Ballerina to its programming slate.

Based on the books created by Katharine Holabird and illustrator Helen Craig, Angelina Ballerina has aired in more than 200 countries, including the U.S. on PBS and the U.K. on CITV. Each 13-minute episode will air on a daily basis in the morning, afternoon and evening on Semillitas.

The title aims to stimulate creativity in children and help them stay healthy and active while being at home. It follows Angelina, a feisty, passionate and energetic mouse who works hard to achieve her goals and always learns from her mistakes. Music plays a pivotal role in this series since Angelina learns various forms of dance like modern dance, classical ballet, tap, jazz and folk dances.
