Richard Goldsmith Resigns at Jim Henson Company

LOS ANGELES: Richard Goldsmith, who has served as executive VP of global distribution at The Jim Henson Company since 2011, is stepping down from his role later this month.

Goldsmith has led The Jim Henson Company’s global distribution of content to all platforms, including TV, home entertainment and digital media. He has overseen such preschool properties as Dinosaur Train, Doozers, Dot. and Splash and Bubbles. He has also managed sales, marketing and technical operations to media partners around the world, among many other duties.

“After six wonderful years with The Jim Henson Company, I am leaving my position on December 16 to pursue another opportunity (to be announced in early January),” Goldsmith stated in an email. He is directing future business matters to Amanda Quigley, the manager of sales for global distribution.
