My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Set for Final Season

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’s ninth and final season will feature the return of Patton Oswalt and Weird Al Yankovic, as well as the series’ 200th episode.

Oswalt’s Quibble Pants character and Weird Al’s Cheese Sandwich character will be back in Equestria later on in the 26-episode season, which will kick off on Discovery Family on April 6, at 11:30 a.m. The new episodes of the series will also stream live and on-demand on Discovery Family GO, the network’s TV Everywhere app.

Produced by Allspark Animation, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will celebrate its 200th episode this spring. Leading up to the milestone, Discovery Family will celebrate all things My Little Pony with a weeklong “Pony Palooza” marathon. It will feature Equestria Girls specials and the premiere of Equestria Girls: Spring Breakdown in addition to a selection of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic episodes that will lead up to the series’ two-part, back-to-back season premiere.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, inspired by the Hasbro toyline, launched on Discovery Family in 2010. It follows Princess Twilight Sparkle, her dragon assistant Spike and her pony friends in the enchanted land of Equestria, where they learn about the magic of friendship.
