LONDON: Nickelodeon and U.K. fashion brand HYPE have partnered on an international family collection featuring retro Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artwork.

The HYPE designs will include TMNT logos and character depictions on apparel and accessories such as jackets, T-shirts, tote bags, caps and more. A collaboration featuring the brand’s villains will be made available in October.

The collection is set to roll out in two phases: first in HYPE’s London store, followed by additional retail locations in regions such as Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Hype’s Liam Green said, “You can expect to see raw-edged, distressed collections inspired by the retro-style Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with exaggerated edges, stepped hems and a distinctive monotone color pallet.

“HYPE brings Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael into the third dimension, with rubberized badging, embossing and raised print… adding in some funky hexagonal arrangements paying homage to the shape of the Turtles’ shell.”

“HYPE continues to impress the world with innovative styles and designs, and partnering with HYPE has helped bring the beloved Turtles characters to life in a whole new way,” said Ron Johnson, the executive VP of consumer products at Viacom International Media Networks. “The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles retro apparel and accessories line unites the classic TMNT look with the fun and excitement around this summer’s motion picture release.”
