New Nickelodeon Series Stars YouTube Sensation

Ryan of the Ryan ToysReview YouTube channel is the star of Nickelodeon’s new preschool series Ryan’s Mystery Playdate.

The live-action series will follow Ryan as he takes on a series of imaginative and physical challenges, and solves mystery box puzzles in an effort to determine his playmate’s identity. Helping Ryan unlock the boxes are his parents and animated friends Gus the Gummy Gator and Combo Panda. Ryan’s Mystery Playdate will premiere on Nickelodeon on Friday, April 19, at 12:30 p.m., with another brand-new episode bowing on Saturday, April 20. The series will then return to its regular timeslot on Fridays at 12:30 p.m.

Following the linear series premiere of Ryan’s Mystery Playdate, original short-form content and full-length episodes will be featured on NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. app. Episodes will also be available on Nick Jr. On Demand and DTO. The weekend the series premieres, Nickelodeon will launch the Ryan’s Mystery Playdate Sweepstakes, for which each episode of the series will feature a mystery word that parents can enter on RyansMysterySweepstakes.com to give kids a chance to win a playdate with Ryan.

Ryan’s Mystery Playdate was created and produced by pocket.watch, a new studio creating franchises inspired by YouTube stars and their popular characters for Generation Alpha.
