Nelvana & Sumitomo Collab on Geki Drive

Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana is developing the animated series Geki Drive with Sumitomo Corporation, a Japan-based global trading company.

Based on the customizable cars produced by Bandai Spirits for the Japanese market, Geki Drive is a 2D/3D hybrid action-adventure series targeting boys ages 6 to 8. The show tells the story of a team of young racers called the Pod Squad that takes the Geki Circuit by storm. As the challenges become more difficult the higher they climb, they rely on their instincts, skills and each other.

Iehisa “IKE” Nakamura, executive officer and general manager of the media division at Sumitomo Corporation, said: “We are excited to co-develop world-class anime and exceptional children’s content together with Nelvana. Our aim is to provide a new, unique, exciting and entertaining experience to children across the globe.”
