Multicom to Rep Volleyball Cartoon Around the World

MILAN/LOS ANGELES: Team Entertainment has inked a global distribution deal with Multicom Entertainment Group (MEG) for the animated volleyball series Spike Team.

Spike Team follows six volleyball teammates and their coach as they compete in tournaments and train for the Olympics. The show, which is meant for 5- to 11-year-olds, was created by Volleyball World Champion Andrea Lucky Lucchetta. It has been produced by Lucky Dreams and Rai Fiction under the executive and artistic direction of Alessandro Belli and Marco Storani, and the executive production supervision of Lucky Dreams and Team Entertainment.

Spike Team just completed its 26×30-minute third season, which was co-produced by Audioworks Producers Group. Multicom will be presenting the series for international sales at this year’s MIPCOM.

Maria Romanelli, Team Entertainment’s president, commented: “Now that we have entered into the global distribution deal with MEG, we will appoint a licensing agency to handle the worldwide license and merchandise opportunities that follow the broadcast of the series.”
