MIPCOM Spotlight: CAKE

Total Drama Island leads CAKE’s MIPCOM highlights with two new seasons.

The series sees teen contestants face hardcore competition, brutal eliminations and more drama than ever before.

The preschool series Tish Tash, which premiered on CBeebies in September, follows the adventures of a young bear named Tish and her imaginary friend Tash. It was nominated for an International Emmy Kids Award.

Also available is a new season of Kiri and Lou, which centers on the dinosaur Kiri and her friend Lou as they explore their feelings. Ed Galton, CEO, says, “The stories perfectly capture young children’s emotions in a way that is resonating with audiences of all ages and is seeing an overwhelming response from viewers all over the world.”

Despite the pandemic, CAKE has continued “to do as much business as possible, putting as many shows into production and distributing our catalog far and wide,” says Galton.
