Mint Copenhagen Opens U.K. Office

Mint Copenhagen has expanded its footprint in Europe with the opening of an office in London to grow its IP development slate and boost the studio and agency sides of its business.

In conjunction with the launch of the new office, Mint Copenhagen has appointed Rob Doherty as senior VP of business development, focusing on developing the company’s own slate of animated and live-action IP with partners in the U.K. and across Europe, and Shane Keane as head of growth for EMEA, responsible for growing its digital agency business.

Doherty and Keane will work closely with the team in Copenhagen, which is headed by Philip Agerbech, Josephine Jerris Margolis and Rasmus Dige.

Doherty brings over 30 years of experience in the children’s TV industry to the role. He has overseen multi-territory co-productions while working for Aardman Animations, Disney, M2 Films, ITV, Endemol, Initial Productions, TVC Cartoons and CAKE. His recent credits include Angry Birds: Summer Madness (Netflix), Supa Team 4 (Netflix) and Space Chickens in Space (Disney).

Keane joins Mint Copenhagen from SuperAwesome, where he was head of business development for EMEA. Prior to that, he was head of programmatic sales EMEA, ROW at Shazam Entertainment and head of EMEA operations at Greystripe International, which is now Conversant Media-Publicis Group.

Mint Copenhagen has had multiple animated and live-action series on air across the Nordic region, including Darkness Between Us (Mørket Mellem Os) and First Time (Første Gang). On the agency side, the company has had success in the kids’ and family space working with brands such as Epic Games, Star Stable, Funko, Pokémon and Topps.
