Hop! Launches Season Two of The Challenge

A second run of the preschool game show The Challenge is set to air on the kidcaster Hop! just months after the debut of season one.

Season two will consist of 14 new episodes that will see young contestants team up with one of four superheroes, each with their own distinct personality. Together, the team of two will face four different challenges in hopes of unveiling a missing detail from the superhero’s next mission.

The series’ first season ranked number one on the channel, with season two greenlit before the final episodes aired.

Michal Butel, deputy CEO at Hop! Media Group and the executive producer of The Challenge, said: “The original format taps into the uncharted waters of preschool game shows. We’ve been searching for a game-show format for preschoolers for some time, only to learn that there are none. The challenges in creating such a format were numerous—from creating games for an audience that cannot yet read or write, through building a mechanism of success without a win/lose dichotomy, to making every contestant go away feeling like a superhero in his or her own right.”
