Video Interview: Hailey’s On It!’s Devin Bunje & Nick Stanton

Devin Bunje and Nick Stanton, who have worked together on Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything, Prince of Peoria and Zeke and Luther, teamed up again to create and executive produce their first animated series, Hailey’s On It!

The new show follows the titular risk-averse but resourceful teen, voiced by Moana’s Auli’i Cravalho, as she goes on a mission to complete her long list of challenging and sometimes impractical tasks to save the world. It debuted on Disney Channel and Disney XD on June 8, followed by a Disney+ premiere the next day.

Bunje and Stanton talk to TV Kids Weekly about the origin of the series, its central messages and themes, their relationship with Disney and what they learned from creating an animated series for the first time.
