GraveRobber & Bejuba! Team Up for Chicken Big Series

GraveRobber and Bejuba! have partnered to finance and launch the animated Chicken Big kids’ comedy series.

The 52×11-minute series is based on Keith Graves’ children’s picture book of the same name that follows an unusually large chicken as he navigates life alongside his more average-sized peers. Tom Kenny (SpongeBob) and Tara Strong (My Little Pony, The Powerpuff Girls, The New Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle) are among the series’ voice talent.

Graves founded GraveRobber, an original animation content studio, two years ago with Hollywood screenwriter and producer Rob Moreland.

Bejuba!’s president, Tatiana Kober, said: “From the moment I saw Chicken Big at Cartoon Forum last year, I’ve been wanting to work with GraveRobber. When Chicken Big received such a huge response in its debut from the crowd, I knew it was going to be a success. Our sincere hope is for Bejuba! to leverage that into a thriving international franchise.”

Graves commented: “Chicken Big, the book, has been translated into a laundry list of languages from Swedish to Hebrew to Korean, to name a few, and we think the show will be fun for audiences around the world.”

Moreland added: “The target demo is kids 6 to 10, but like SpongeBob, we are making Chicken Big for anyone who likes to laugh—preschoolers, parents, grandparents and even college students.”
