eOne Expands Peppa Pig’s U.S. L&M Program

NEW YORK: Entertainment One (eOne) is growing the U.S. consumer-products program for the preschool property Peppa Pig with contract renewals for its major North American partners and the addition of new licensees.

Jazwares, the brand’s master toy licensee, is renewing its contract and extending its toy range to include kids’ electronics such as headphones, walkie talkies, a sing-along radio, digital alarm clocks and more. The debut collection will begin rolling out to mass retailers this fall. eOne also extended its partnerships with Scholastic (publishing), Happy Threads (apparel), Candlewick Press (publishing), Komar (sleepwear) and Esquire (footwear).

Additionally, the stage show Peppa Pig Live!: Peppa Pig’s Big Splash!, produced by Red Light Management, has added a fall 2016 leg with 35 additional performances.

Peppa Pig’s newest U.S. partners include Dreamwave for swimwear, Cardinal Games for the Peppa Pig Playing Cards Super Set, and H2W/Sunstaches, which signed on to make a range of Peppa sunglasses for kids ages 3 and up. Other companies joining the consumer products program in the U.S. are Jakks Pacific for outdoor toys and novelties, The Northwest Company for tapestry throws, Playhut for play tents and Playtex for Sipsters Stage 3 Sippy Cups.

Peppa is now one of the top preschool properties in North America,” said Joan Grasso, the VP of licensing for North America at eOne Family. “We’re thrilled with the opportunity to continue our strong partnerships with Jazwares and our other key best-in-class licensees, who have all helped to create this successful preschool program. We’re also very excited to provide fans with even more meaningful and fun-filled ways to engage with Peppa.”
