DreamWorks Channel to Become Available in MENA

GLENDALE/DOHA: beIN Network has teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to launch the DreamWorks channel in Arabic in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for the first time.

The DreamWorks channel is officially joining the beIN package on August 1. The 24-hour network will be offered in both Arabic and English. The initial lineup will include such series as Dragons: Race to the Edge, Dinotrux, All Hail King Julien, The Adventures of Puss in Boots and Dawn of the Croods. The channel will also feature a morning preschool block with such titles as Guess with Jess, Roary the Racing Car and Little Red Tractor.

Yousef Mohammed Al-Obaidly, the executive VP of beIN MEDIA Group, said: “DreamWorks will be launched for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa. We are glad to cooperate with DreamWorks and support spreading the content of this channel in the Middle East and North Africa for the first time in Arabic to our subscribers and exclusively on beIN bouquets. We seek to meet the needs of our large audience of children in the region and our goal is to provide educational and entertaining services to children and families through our designated channels. We are preparing for more partnerships with DreamWorks.”

The DreamWorks channel first launched in the Asia Pacific last summer.
